The Chosen Spiritual Heir – The Continuation of the Mission
Syed Shakir Uzair, lovingly known as Syed Baba, is the chosen spiritual heir (Waris) of Qalandar Pak (RA) and the person entrusted with carrying his spiritual mission and message forward.
His relationship with Qalandar Pak was not simply that of an admirer or biographer. He became his devoted follower and student and, during Qalandar Pak’s lifetime, was chosen by him as his spiritual Waris. It was Qalandar Pak himself who affectionately called him “Syed Baba.”
This relationship became central to the continuation of the mission that we share today as The Ultimate Remedy.
From Television to a Spiritual Journey
Before this mission reached a wider audience, Syed Baba had already built a distinguished career as a producer and director with Pakistan Television (PTV), spanning more than four decades.
In time, those professional skills became a means of carrying Qalandar Pak’s work beyond those who could meet him personally.
Under Qalandar Pak’s guidance, Syed Baba developed the television programme Al-Rehman, bringing together the Divine recitation, the method of concentrated listening, guidance for listeners, and people’s experiences.
But behind this public work was something much deeper.
From One Heart to Another
In 1998, Qalandar Pak made a profound statement about the completion of his research and its future:
“I completed the research on Surah Al-Rehman and transferred it to the heart of Syed Baba.”
For this mission, these words represent more than the transfer of information or instructions. They express a spiritual trust and responsibility passed from one heart to another—from Qalandar Pak to the person he had chosen as his Waris.
The research had reached its completion, but the mission was meant to continue.

From the heart, to a message.
And from that message, to humanity.
A Spiritual Bond of Love and Transmission
Throughout spiritual history, some relationships between a Murshid and his chosen disciple have become known for the transformation that takes place from heart to heart.
One of the most familiar examples is the bond between Shams-e Tabrizi and Rumi. Rumi’s encounter with Shams profoundly transformed his inner journey, and his extraordinary love for his Murshid (spiritual guide) became inseparable from his message of Divine Love. Through his writings, that message continues to touch hearts centuries later.
In the relationship between Qalandar Pak and Syed Baba, we see a beautiful reflection of this spiritual tradition.
Qalandar Pak recognized Syed Baba, drew him close, guided and prepared him, chose him as his spiritual Waris, and ultimately declared that the research he had completed had been transferred to Syed Baba’s heart.
For Syed Baba, this spiritual inheritance became the responsibility of a lifetime.
His profound love for his Murshid can be seen in the way he continually speaks of Qalandar Pak, preserves his teachings, shares his life and message, and has devoted himself to carrying his mission of love, Divine connection, and service to humanity forward.
Today, that devotion is expressed through his live gatherings, his personal guidance to people around the world, his writings, and the continuous work of Syed Baba and his team in serving those who seek help and carrying the message farther.
The Murshid awakens the heart.
The disciple carries the light.
And that light travels onward in service to humanity.
The stories are not the same, but the spiritual principle offers a beautiful way to understand the bond:
when Divine Love transforms a heart, its light does not remain there—it is carried forward.
A Living Connection With Humanity
Following the departure of the blessed soul of Qalandar Pak, Syed Baba continued the responsibility entrusted to him—not only by preserving the teachings, but by remaining personally connected with the people seeking guidance.
Today, Syed Baba holds live sessions three times a week. People gather with him in person, while many others join online from different parts of the world.
These sessions are not simply lectures. They are an opportunity for people to ask, listen, reflect, learn, and share.
Questions come from people facing many different circumstances—personal and family difficulties, health concerns, emotional struggles, financial problems, spiritual questions, and uncertainty in life. Syed Baba listens to these concerns and offers guidance according to each person’s circumstances and level of understanding.
People also share their own experiences: changes they have felt within themselves, improvements in their wellbeing and circumstances, lessons they have applied in their lives, and the positive impact they associate with Syed Baba’s teachings and The Ultimate Remedy.
In this way, the mission remains not only a message being delivered, but a living connection with people.
Listening to Those Who Seek Guidance
That connection continues beyond the live gatherings.
People from different countries reach out through telephone, WhatsApp, email, YouTube, and other means of communication. Many have been personally connected with Syed Baba for years, while others discover the message from far away.
A significant part of his life is devoted to listening to people’s difficulties, responding to their questions, and guiding them with patience and compassion.
This reflects something deeply important within the mission:
People should not only be spoken to.
They should also be heard.
A Mission Carried by Many Hearts
Syed Baba with his dedicated followers, giving their time and effort to serve people, support the live sessions, respond to communications, share the teachings, and help carry this message to a wider world.
Many of those connected with the mission serve with a heartfelt desire to bring hope, peace, compassion, and remembrance of the Creator into the lives of others.
What began with one man’s concern for suffering humanity has therefore continued through many hearts willing to serve.
Preserving and Carrying the Legacy Forward
Alongside his direct work with people, Syed Baba has also helped preserve Qalandar Pak’s life, teachings, and spiritual journey through his writings, including Tohfa-e-Qalandar and Qurb-e-Haq, later translated into English as The Ultimate Dimension of Life.
The means of reaching humanity have changed with time—from personal gatherings and television to live digital sessions and worldwide communication—but the heart of the mission remains the same:
to listen to the suffering human being,
to guide with compassion,
to awaken hope,
to reconnect the heart with its Creator,
and to serve humanity without distinction.
The Mission Lives On
Qalandar Pak devoted his life to this mission.
He entrusted it to Syed Baba.
Syed Baba continues to carry it forward.
And many hearts now work together to take its message of mercy to humanity.
Across countries, cultures, languages, and backgrounds, the message continues its journey:
